Historic Venue
THE WINNER IS: Navy Pier
Winner of the Best Attraction, Navy Pier also nabs Best Historic Venue this year. The site was revitalized when the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority took ownership in 1989, and the not-for-profit Navy Pier Inc. assumed operations in 2011. Attracting more than 8 million visitors yearly, the 1.5-mile-long, 50-acre pier has top-notch meeting and exhibition space, amenities and attractions overlooking Lake Michigan.
