• Prestige Resorts & Destinations Hosting Fashion & Food Events for Meeting Planners

Minneapolis-based and global site selection firm Prestige Resorts & Destinationsis is hosting 12 fashion and food inspired events for meeting planners across North America. The series of events aims to pair meeting planners in Prestige's target cities with destinations and venues across the world.

All events are coordinated with The Blues Jean Bar, an apparel and custom-fit blue jeans retailer. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with hotel, cruise, DMC and CVB representatives over hors d’oeurves and drinks. Planners will then be able to shop for a free pair of high-end blue jeans valued at over $150, compliments of Prestige.

Event venues include The Blues Jean Bar stores, five-star hotels, coffee houses and micro-breweries. Attendees receive a passport book with vendor information, they then receive stamps from the different destinations they speak with. Afterwards, the passports can be taken home for future reference.

After the successful launch of the event in Colorado, California and Missouri earlier this year, Prestige plans to host five more events this year in Toronto, Minneapolis, Seattle, Chicago and Dallas. Hotel vendors may register to attend at $750 for one event or at $500 each for multiple events.

In early March, Meeting Professionals International released a statement regarding the invasion of Ukraine: 

“In a show of support for the people of Ukraine, MPI will immediately suspend business with all companies in Russia. In addition, any plans to formalize a chapter in Russia will be paused….We remain concerned for the well-being of our community and our MPI members in Russia and Ukraine who were already seeking to climb out of the shadow of this pandemic and are now experiencing these unprecedented challenges.”
