"Schaumburg's top fifty ranking is a tribute to both the quality and management of our village's hotels and our Schaumburg Convention Center,” said Al Larson, Mayor of The Village of Schaumburg.

The Woodfield Chicago Northwest Convention Bureau has announced that Schaumburg, IL ranked in Cvent’s list of the top 50 cities for meetings and events in the country for the second year in a row. Cvent developed the ranking based on meeting and event booking activity within the Cvent Supplier Network.

"We are honored to have Schaumburg ranked among the top meetings and events destination cities by Cvent," said Dave Parulo, President of The Woodfield Chicago Northwest Convention Bureau. "Earning a spot on this ranking validates the significant effort we put into making our region an attractive choice for corporate meetings, a critical part of our economy."

Nearly 5,700 U.S. cities featured on the Cvent Supplier Network were evaluated to create the list. Activity was tracked between July 2012 and June 2013 and the ranking was determined by the following:

Unique Request For Proposals Received
Total Room Nights
Awarded Request For Proposals
Awarded Room Nights
Percentage of Qualified Meeting Venues

"Schaumburg's top fifty ranking is a tribute to both the quality and management of our village's hotels and our Schaumburg Convention Center," said Al Larson, Mayor of The Village of Schaumburg. "It also indicates the importance we place on the long term development of our hospitality and entertainment infrastructure."

Anchorage is a city like none other—making it a popular choice for hosting meetings and events.

Through the tall windows of the Dena’ina Civic and Convention Center in Anchorage, meeting attendees can gaze out toward Cook Inlet, which stretches all the way to the Gulf of Alaska and toward mountains—some snow-capped—representing several ranges. They may even see an eagle fly by or see one of the 1,500 moose that are said to roam Alaska’s largest city. It’s easy to see why it’s said that Anchorage is a city like none other in the United States.
