Besides the obvious benefits of fragrant aroma and soothing color, flowers can enhance an event by exploring the creative and unique attributes this natural product Mother Nature provided for us.  

Ideas

In my opinion, floral can extend to other “out of the box” elements like pinecones seen here creatively covering the surfaces of these columns, allowing texture and great lighting possibilities. When strategically and specifically placed floral can mimic logos and branding, and then there is the advantage of a printed element pretending to be real as seen here with this backdrop.

Layers of printed aspen trees enhance this stage presentation to form a background for the approaching panel discussion.  Lighting, once again gives this element a wow effect.

Tips

Know the budget upfront, as a florist will be able to lead you in a direction that will ultimately benefit your event. Flowers can be as common as Ford automobiles or as exotic as Porsches with prices that correspond. Tell your florist what is important to your event such as size of arrangement, color, shape, etc., and they will be able to pick out flowers to make your wishes come true.

Other tricks of the trade that can be helpful are using fewer, larger elements or more greenery and less actual floral blooms to keep on budget.
