In 1927, Hilton Hotels’ founder Conrad Hilton said, "Abilene, Texas, will be well prepared to handle large conventions and please the most fastidious visitor." Nearly 95 years later, Abilene has fulfilled this vision and is excited to welcome back the Hilton family of hotels in the heart of downtown Abilene with a recently announced DoubleTree by Hilton.

The new DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel will bring 17,000 square feet of meeting space, 200 rooms of lodging, full-service dining, a pool deck, rooftop bar, and other heart-warming amenities to the heart of Abilene's bustling arts and business district. Guests and convention-goers can stay within walking distance of event venues, restaurants, breweries, shops, museums, and the city's famous storybook sculpture collection. Construction is anticipated to take 18 months, with an opening date projected to be in Spring 2023.

Meeting in an idyllic, natural setting doesn’t mean you have to give up a dynamic urban energy –at least not when you’re gathering in The Woodlands, a charming community located less than 30 miles from Houston and George Bush Intercontinental Airport. The town boasts a full social calendar, as well as all of the conveniences found in a more metropolitan locale.
