Melissa Carroll was recently hired as head bartender at South Water Kitchen.

1. What are you looking forward to the most in your new role as head bartender?

New Golf-Themed Gastro Pub Opens at Hilton Chicago/Oak Brook Hills Resort & Conference Center

A new gastro pub, Tin Cup, located at the Hilton Chicago/Oak Brook Hills Resort & Conference Center has officially opened its doors.

Formerly The Grille, the restaurant can hold 88 guests and now features a new menu and design.

"Tin Cup has that gathering place vibe, where friends can meet up to enjoy a freshly made salad or sandwich," says Brad Ott, director of operations. "There's a casual air about it, conducive to hoisting a cold one after a hard-day of work or a hard-played 18 holes."

The Philadelphia Area Chapter of Meetings Professionals International is hosting an auction with such donated items as vacation packages, celebrity autographs and catered dinners.

The deadline to register is just two days away on Dec. 9. Registering gets you many award-winning noms and two drink tickets.

Signature Drink - Cease and Desist

CH Distillery is proud to say they are “made in Illinois, distilled in Chicago” with local grains that are processed to make small batch vodka, gin and other spirits. At the West Loop location, guests can sit down and enjoy a housemade drink at the cocktail bar and order small plates; group tours are provided as well. This recipe was developed by Food and Beverage Director Krissy Schutte.
