Hello readers,

Business is booming at several Chicago area hotels, and guests and planners get to take advantage with some pretty special deals.

The Ace Hotel Chicago is not even open yet, but there’s so much anticipation for this upcoming West Loop hotel (opening September 1 at 311 N. Morgan) that the brand is offering a special preview period and accompanying booking offer beginning this month. From now through the end of August, you’ll receive a 25% discount off regular rates for the 159-room hotel, which offers small, medium, double, large and loft rooms, as well as the Ace Suite. The other great part about the offer is that 10% of the reservation revenue directly supports Ace Hotel Chicago’s three community partners: Little Black Pearl, Young Chicago Authors and 826CHI.

This is the first Ace to pop up in the Midwest (after success in New York, Los Angeles and New Orleans, among other cities), and it’s also the first complete ground-up build out from the brand. In addition to guest rooms, event spaces include two ground floor communal options, a paved terrace, two meeting rooms and a bar.

Other offerings at the property include an all-day restaurant helmed by Chef Jason Vincent, also behind Giant, as well as a rooftop bar and lounge with stunning panoramic views of the downtown Chicago skyline.

Over at the Langham Hotel, planners can still take advantage of the limited time “No Strings Attached” package that launched earlier this spring. The offer can be booked through August 31, 2017 for events taking place before December 31, 2017 at all participating hotels in the Langham Hospitality Group, including Chicago. This package includes the following benefits:

Waived cancellation terms
No attrition rate charges
Complimentary Internet charges for all guest and meeting rooms
No minimum spend on food and beverages required
Complimentary room offering
Room upgrade offering
One 30-minute cocktail reception for your meeting or event
One themed refreshment break enhancement
Spa credits
One round-trip airport transfer
Offset of carbon footprint for your event with a wide range of sustainable options

Terms and conditions apply. To book, visit this link.

Happy Planning!

The company took the ten top-rated meeting and event cities in the United States and picked the top ten venues in each area, compiling a list of 100 highly-regarded spaces.

The guide identifies the two most valuable factors in attendee satisfaction as venue location and activities in the host city, followed by capacity, uniqueness and proximity to local attractions.

Held at the United Center Sept. 21-23, 2018, the Laver Cup—a men’s tennis tournament pitting six top European players against six of their counterparts—marked the first time this major event has been held in the United States. Total event attendance was more than 93,000 people, with fans from around the world traveling to Chicago for an unforgettable experience with the game’s best players. “The Laver Cup was a huge win for Chicago,” says Kara Bachman, executive director of the Chicago Sports Commission.
