Opened in August 2017 inside the 54-story office tower at 150 N. Riverside Plaza, Hyatt Hotels’ new headquarters—known as Hyatt Hub—looks a bit like an urban hotel. And that was exactly the point for the new space, which welcomes hotel owners, consultants and suppliers daily. 

“The Hyatt Hub is warm and hospitable with an atmosphere of casual refinement and a mix of spaces for working meetings, dining and socializing,” says Kristen Conry, vice president of product and brand development for Hyatt. “[Its design is] much like the designs of our hotels and with the same purpose: to care for people so they can be their best.”

The Hyatt Hub also cares for the environment, earning LEED Platinum certification and joining Google in becoming among the first companies in Chicago to pursue WELL certification for the space, which sets requirements for a wide range of items, from air quality to sugar content in food and beverage offerings.

Crafted by award-winning bartender and spirits professional Peter Vestinos, this refreshing summer sipper—a gin and tonic at its heart—has been artfully infused by the spirits and flavors of Greece and the country’s cuisine. “The Chareau liqueur provides Mediterranean flavors of cucumber, mint, and lemon and the Verino Mastiha integrates a signature herbal resin flavor, while the cardamom adds a unique earthy and exotic note,” says Vestinos.

 

Aventri, a leader in events management software (EMS), recently released ‘The Top 100 Meeting and Event Venues in the United States’ for 2019. The company took the ten top-rated meeting and event cities in the United States and picked the top ten venues in each area, compiling a list of 100 highly-regarded spaces. 

The guide identifies the two most valuable factors in attendee satisfaction as venue location and activities in the host city, followed by capacity, uniqueness and proximity to local attractions.
