• Kindred Resorts & Hotels Debuts New Programs

Kindred Resorts & Hotels has revealed a number of new activities that span across North America. Some of these additions include romantic getaways, culinary adventures, wellness corporate retreats, and more.

Grand Hotel, located in Mackinac Island, Michigan will reopen on May 4 after completing its renovation. Renovations include three new suites, with interior design by Dorothy Draper & Company, and changes to the world’s longest porch at 660-feet. It will be open the first weekend in May through the end of October.

In Tucson, Ariz., the Hacienda Del Sol Guest Ranch Resort completed an expansion that added 32 guestrooms and suites, an infinity pool and a new ballroom with 5100 square feet of indoor and outdoor space. Along with new renovations travelers now have the opportunity to book new on and off-site adventures. Adventures include horseback rides, hikes, nature walks and astronomy tours.

The 25,000-square-foot Lake Austin Spa Resort in Austin is celebrating its 20th anniversary with 20 new spa services. Some notable offerings include a luxury water taxi that transports guests, energy work, organic skin care lines, water immersion therapies and oxygen facials.

The Hudson Valley Mohonk Mountain House opened the property’s first new accommodations in more than 100 years. Named Grove Lodge, the space is a 7,000-square-foot, two-story lodge. The 700-square-foot rooms and 1,080-square-foot great room was constructed and designed by Andre J. Allison. Guests are able to book a single room or rent out the whole building.

The 480-acre resort, Saddlebrook Resort, has renewed their two Arnold Palmer signature golf courses to go along with the new Golf Training Center and Range. Work has been done to improve greens quality and speed. Programs such as greens construction, tee leveling and drainage improvements have been designed to improve the over-all playability of the course.

Saybrook Point Inn & Spa in Old Saybrook, Conn., has added new teambuilding exercises and group activities for reunions and gatherings as well as two new luxury guesthouses. New activities include fishing trips, chef challenges, wine classes, and a unique Navy SEAL training program. The additional guesthouses were designed to accommodate special events, corporate retreats and private gatherings.

Tides Inn, located in Irvington, Va., has announced the addition of a new Virginia Oyster Academy, which will provide guests with a Bay to Table experience. During this experience, guests will be able to go on a morning excursion with an authentic Virginia waterman where they will learn about the history of the oyster and benefits. It is available on Fridays and Saturdays from October to November.

SCS Global Services (SCS), a third-party environmental and sustainability certification, auditing, testing, and standards development, has launched its Zero Waste Standard, “Zero Waste for Events.”

 

The Hilton Dallas Lincoln Centre completed its $24 million renovation of the entire hotel and conference center. Renovations began in 2020. 

The North Dallas conference center hotel renovation includes a full redesign of all 503 guest rooms, lobby and public areas, and food and beverage outlets. Additionally, the hotel’s 55,000-square-feet of meeting space was updated with new furnishings, technology upgrades, and the addition of a new 6,600-square-foot Lakeside Ballroom. 

 

Anchorage is a city like none other—making it a popular choice for hosting meetings and events.

Through the tall windows of the Dena’ina Civic and Convention Center in Anchorage, meeting attendees can gaze out toward Cook Inlet, which stretches all the way to the Gulf of Alaska and toward mountains—some snow-capped—representing several ranges. They may even see an eagle fly by or see one of the 1,500 moose that are said to roam Alaska’s largest city. It’s easy to see why it’s said that Anchorage is a city like none other in the United States.
