Marcus Hotels & Resorts announced it will be assuming management of the Hyatt Regency Schaumburg, marking the management company's first Hyatt-branded property. After recent renovations, Hyatt Regency Schaumburg will be the newest opportunity for Marcus to expand its market in the hotel industry in the greater Chicago and southern Wisconsin areas.
Andrea Foster, Marcus senior vice president of development, says they hope to introduce and establish the Marcus culture of "Serve People. Create Memories. Deliver Exceptional Experiences." in the Hyatt property. With their sales and revenue management strategy, Foster says Marcus hopes to optimize the property's brand, location, quality, size and facilities to drive the overall profitability for the owners.
Marcus currently operates 22 properties across the country, 19 of which are full-service. As a large, branded, full-service hotel with significant meeting and event space, Foster says the Hyatt Regency Schaumburg fits perfectly into their area of expertise. In addition to its 22 hotels, Marcus operates more than 45 restaurants and lounges, more than 350,000 square feet of meeting and event space, and ancillary facilities.
