RPM Events On The Water, located directly on the Chicago River, will be opening for private events mid-September. The Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises property will boast more than 6,000 square feet of event space, which will be able to host 250 guests for a seated function or 425 reception-style.

RPM Events On The Water offers iconic views of the waterfront with floor-to-ceiling windows and an outdoor terrace. Also, located in the River North neighborhood of downtown Chicago, the space is centrally located to several office buildings and hotels, allowing guests to walk or water taxi from within a half-mile radius.

"We will offer a fully customizable culinary experience with each event menu created by chef and partner Doug Psaltis and wine lists curated by Beverage Director Richard Hanauer, to provide guests with the best of RPM Restaurants," says R.J. Melman, Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises president. "We are set up to accommodate any request, from beautiful breakfast displays and live-action pasta and carving stations to plated luncheons and dessert carts."

Melman says the space can be used for any private event, including weddings, corporate breakfast meetings, rehearsal dinners, executive lunches, galas, fundraisers, mitzvahs, corporate dinners and everything in between. RMP Events On The Water has a grand ballroom, which can be divided into three independent spaces, each with access to the outdoor terrace. Guests can enter through a private entrance into the main foyer and then descend down a grand staircase past a pre-function room and a dedicated wedding suite before entering the grand ballroom.

"We are booking daily, everything from weddings and rehearsal dinners to lunch meetings, corporate holiday parties and even Bat Mitzvahs as far out as 2021," says Melman. "Official tours of the space will begin in early September once the space if fully complete and show-ready."

With the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, most people are working from home. Many are social distancing or quarantining with their children, who have transitioned to online classes. Restaurants, bars, coffee shops, offices, stores and so much more have been temporarily shut down in many states, affecting daily life in the most unexpected of ways.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Sunday recommended that all gatherings of more than 50 people be cancelled or postponed for the next eight weeks, in order to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus, COVID-19. The recommendation covers events like parades, concerts, festivals, conferences, sporting events, weddings and more.
